Hi! We are the Ugandan Potters' Association.
Let us introduce ourselves.

Our Beginnings
The Ugandan Pottery Association was established in 2016 as a network of potters who completed their vocational training in pottery at Vision for Africa.
The association enables collaborating potters to coordinate and ship larger orders within Uganda as well as overseas. It also serves as a network between artists and craftmen all over the country and ensures a constant exchange of knowledge, skills and ideas.

Our Guidelines
Extending Clayworks to Local Communities
One of our aims is to promote the versatile character of clayworks in our local communities. Our range of products covers arts, crafts as well as objects of everyday use, such as ceramics and tiles. Alongside, we nurture our African heritage by using local designs.
Youth Empowerment
At the heart of everything we do lies the future of our country's younger generation. We constantly seek to transfer our skills and our knowledge to our youth, for example by facilitating workshops at local schools. At our workshops, we employ young people in order to give them a solid perspective in life.
Gender Diversity
Not only do we focus on empowering youth, but also, we strive for gender diversity at the workplace. Therefore, another focus of our work is the provision of training and employment for women. We welcome and appreciate a working climate of diversity, which inspires our product range and our designs.
