The Rafiki Potters are located in a beautiful natural area near the Bujjagali Falls in Jinja. The first thing you’ll realise when you meet the team is the young and dynamic spirit surrounding the workshop and little shop at the side of the road. Tourists and locals passing by frequently stop and watch the skilful ways in which the potters form a piece of clay into a beautiful piece. Alex, Andrew and Michael all finished their vocational training in 2016 and ever since then, they have run a pottery together, currently employing three helpers,  Steven, David and Jimmy.

The Rafiki Potters’ strongest passion is youth empowerment. Currently, they are cooperating with a school in Mukono where they share their pottery skills and knowledge with 10-15 year old students, as well as encouraging them to work hard and pursue their passions.
